Essential Orientation for New Early Care and Education Employees: A new employee orientation package for licensed child care facilities.

- Meets the licensing requirements for initial training within the first 10 days of employment and provides 4 hours of training.

- Essential Orientation was designed to improve the quality of care provided in licensed child care facilities by providing a model initial training manual that provides consistent and effective on site training at the earliest stages of employment.
- The Essential Orientation training package meets basic licensing requirements and provides additional essential information for those working in early care and education.
- Essential Orientation for Early Care and Education training manual and modules address all of the areas required by regulation for new employees or volunteers in licensed child care facilities.
- The Department of Health Services, Office of Child Care Licensing will recognize four hours of training for its completion.
- Essential Orientation provides easy to use and quality information and materials, resulting in more productive time dedicated to initial orientation and an overall positive initial training experience for new employees.
